So i posted the photo of this recipe yesterday and promised to post the complete recipe before tonight. But due to spotty internet connections while traveling, I decided to type it out on my phone. Bengali Doi Murgi is a very simple and flavorful curry thanks to the Yoghurt! It’s not just tangy but it’s spicy and savory as well and I couldn’t stop licking the bottom of the pan 🙈
Its a very easy recipe and needs not much prepping except marination for 2 hours while makes the chicken softer and supple and ofcourse more flavorful.

Doi Murgi (Bengali style Yoghurt Chicken Curry)
Bengali Doi Murgi Recipe or Bengali style Yoghurt Chicken Curry is a delicious bengali style chicken curry where chicken is cooked in a spicy yogurt sauce.
For marinating the chicken
Marinate the chicken for 2 hours or more at room temperature with ingredients mentioned under marination section
Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add cloves, cardamom, bay leaves and red dry Chilli. Sauté this on a low flame.
Add the onions to this and fry everything till the onion turns slightly brownish.
Add the ginger garlic paste and fry for another 2 mins or till the raw aroma disappears.
Add red Chilli powder and cook for a minute
Add the chicken along with the marinade
Check for seasoning and then add salt if required
Cover the pan and let it cook for 20-25 mins with occasional stirring.
And you are done. If you don’t like too much gravy you can let it cook few more minutes for a thicker gravy.
Goes best with steamed rice 😊
