Another thali featuring my favourite South Indian yummies. My thali here consists of my favorite Orange Peel Rasam and others (L-R): .

1. Pulihora Rice
2. Fryums
3. Oranges
4. Orange Peel Rasam (recipe below)
5. Raw Banana Stir Fry
6. Plain Steamed Rice

I will post the recipes for the other dishes in another post but here is my recipe for Orange Peel Rasam. Do give it a try and let me know how it turned out to be 🙂

Instructions
  1. Orange Peel Rasam is an extremely easy recipe and can be prepared under 15 mins.
  2. In a pan I lightly tossed the orange peels in Ghee (clarified butter) and transfer this to a container. Toss this for not more than 3 - 4 mins.
  3. In the same pan, add tamarind paste, chopped tomatoes and water and boil it together.
  4. Add turmeric powder and salt for seasoning and garnish it with coriander leaves.
  5. Add a tempering prepared in a separate pan of curry leaves, mustard seeds, dry red chilli and 1/2 tsp ghee into this rasam and boil it all together.
Recipe Notes

This has to be served hot always and tastes best with plain rice!
