Instructions
  1. Add all the ingredients for marination in a bowl and let it rest for an hour. Keep it covered.
  2. Heat oil or ghee in a heavy bottomed pan and add the spices mentioned under 'For the Spice Mix' on a low flame. You don't want them to burn away too quickly.
  3. Now add the finely chopped onion and saute till it turns slightly golden brown.
  4. Add the coriander powder, red chilli powder and garam masala and mix everything well. Cook it for 2-3 mins.
  5. The marinated chicken pieces can now be added along with the everything else used for marination.
  6. Cook till you see oil start appearing on the sides. This takes around 30 mins.
  7. Check the salt and add the fresh cream. Top it with chopped cashews and coriander leaves.
  8. Serve this hot with Naan or Jeera Rice
