Who doesn’t like to have a slice of warm apple cake with some coffee on a rainy day with some great conversation with your friend. And yes, when you can make it at home, why not turn your own home into a cafe this way. It is the easiest French Style Apple Cinnamon Cake with no extra baking ninja skills needed.
I had some amazing apples at home that I received from a friend and fall is the best time to play with cinnamon and apple flavors in the kitchen. It almost makes me want to keep eating even while baking it. It is such a soft, moist cake that your friend will love it with a cup of warm tea/coffee or choco milk.
I have even added step by step photos of the recipe because I think there are many of you who fear baking like me and these pictures might reassure you the ease of baking this cake.
French Style Apple Cinnamon Cake
Preheat the oven to 350F or 180C. Grease a 9 inch round baking pan with cooking spray or butter.
Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices. Add a tsp of cinnamon powder and 1/4 cup of sugar and mix them all well.
In a small bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, oil/butter till they are frothy. Now keep adding the flour mixture little by little while continuing whisking. Add the apples and mix them well by coating them with the batter well. Pour it into the baking tray/pan.
Bake for 40-50 mins or till the toothpick when inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it rest for 10 mins on a wire rack and slowly remove it from the same.
Serve it warm with a side of whipped cream.
