When you crave for Indian Restaurant food and don’t have access to it, why not make your own kitchen like a restaurant and it is such an easy kind of bread with the satisfaction of eating Naan. Also eating whole wheat naan instead of regular naan made of all-purpose flour makes it a tad bit healthy I think.

I haven’t come up with a glutenfree version of this bread but will soon experiment and come up with a recipe soon. If you have tried it, do hit me with ideas and recipes.

I paired my naan with some Punjabi (North Indian) delicacies Veg Tadka and Dahiwale Paneer

What would you like to pair your naan with? Don’t forget to give this recipe a try for sure.

Happy Cooking 🙂

  5. Cover this with a cling film and rest in a warm place at home for 3 to 4 hours atleast.
To make whole wheat naan
  1. Divide the dough into 4 equal sized balls
  2. Roll one of the dough into an elongated shape, you can always roll it into a round shape like paratha or roti. But for restaurant finish, elongated ones looks good.
  3. While rolling if you think it is sticking to the surface, you can use some oil or dry flour to roll.
  4. Pre Heat the oven for atleast 15 mins before adding the naan.
  5. In the baking tray, add the rolled dough and bake it at a temperature of 180 Degree Celsius for 10 minutes.
  6. Glaze it with some butter or ghee and eat it while it is hot.
